Cradle Mountain

HISTORY

Cradle Mountain is one of Tasmania's best known icons and is located within the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park - a very popular tourist attraction.

The mountain is 1545 metres high and there are a number of small lakes near the top which have been described as a photographer's paradise.

It gets the name from the cradled shaped pinnacle.
